Chloe Home Styling mostly uses AI illustrations, but any picture shared by someone else is credited, and its owner can ask for changes at any time. The informal route comes first on this page; the legal DMCA procedure sits underneath it.
Images here
AI illustrations make up most of the images. The few borrowed from other people show a 📷 handle and a link to their source, and ownership stays with them.
The simple route
- A credit added to your picture
- A different credit or a link to your site
- Removal from the site
Drop a line to [email protected] with the URL and your choice; there is nothing formal to fill in. Removals go first, and replies come promptly.
Chloe Home Styling does not claim ownership of photos shared by other people. Short quotes and excerpts from other sources are used under the fair use doctrine, 17 U.S.C. § 107.
Formal DMCA takedown notice
Chloe Home Styling follows the notice and takedown process of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. A written notice sent to [email protected] needs all 6 of these elements to be valid:
- The physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act for them.
- The copyrighted work you believe was infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers several works.
- The material you believe infringes it, with enough detail to locate it on Chloe Home Styling, such as the page URL.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
Valid notices are reviewed promptly, and the material may be removed or access to it disabled.
Counter notification
If material was taken down by mistake or misidentification, the person who posted it may send a counter notification to [email protected] with these 4 elements:
- A physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
After a valid counter notification, the material may be restored in 10 to 14 business days unless the person who sent the original notice reports that a court action has been filed.
Repeat infringement and false claims
Where appropriate, Chloe Home Styling removes access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
